How We Work
A personalized approach for change you can actually feel.
We don’t just talk about why trauma still affects you—we work directly with how it lives in your body, reactions, and relationship with yourself so old, rigid patterns loosen their grip.
We Begin…
Sessions begin with a conversation about what is happening now and what feels most important. Together, we look for the patterns connecting your present struggles with earlier experiences—not to keep you focused on the past, but to understand what your mind and body may still be expecting or protecting against. We map the road ahead. You determine the pace and level of challenge.
Active engagement
At times we shift from therapeutic talk into experiential work. This might involve slowing down a reaction, noticing what happens in your body, creating more choice in tight moments, or practicing responding over reacting. You remain in control throughout; you do not have to perform, force an emotion, or relive traumatic events. We work at a pace that allows something meaningful to happen without overwhelming you.
Self-Relationship
Our work also pays attention to what happens in your relationship with yourself—especially when you feel pressured, ashamed, frightened, or uncertain. Over time, the goal is not only to become less reactive, but to remain connected to yourself, trust your signals, and respond with greater protection, guidance, and choice. We regularly pause to notice what is changing and decide together what the work needs next.
